Elizabeth invites Clyde Lerner of ITMComputing.com to share how affiliate marketing and passive revenue systems earn more income for your business.  Clyde shares his top tips to create passive revenue streams, how to find affiliate programs and the three mistakes people make with affiliate marketing.

Elizabeth delves further into developing your own affiliate program in her answer to this week’s listener question and shares her Entrepreneur’s Success Tip of the Week: Take Time Off for Yourself.

Elizabeth       Welcome everyone, this is Elizabeth Potts Weinstein and I’m your host for the Well Spa Radio Show. I want to welcome you into the show this week and we have a typical line up and a couple of different things. First we have a guest, Clyde Lerner, and he’s going to be sharing us was information about a salient marketing and generating passive revenue we’ll talk a little about what those things mean and how you can use those ideas to generate more money either for your current business or even kind of on the side. Then and next half of the hour, I’ll be answering a question from a listener and this question is actually about developing your own affiliate program. So, if you’ve business and you sell services or products and you want other people to sell for you, you’ll is the right thing for you, how do you set that up. And as we get close top of the hour, I’ll you show you us by entrepreneur’s success tip for the week. And this week, the tip is about taking time off for your self. Today I have a guest on with us since as I said his name is Clyde Lerner, he is the founder of ITM Computing spent fifteen years as a technical consultant and now his company, he release technological stress that all the small business owners have by providing technology solution that would we want. So, he talks about website design, sixteen broken computers, helping people pick up the right computer, all that kind of technical stuff. Now, also Clive has some other businesses where he uses affiliate marketing to generate extra money for himself, so he also has business in send out cards, and also has another website with affiliate page for products so we talk a little more about that as we go on and what cries on here on to talks to us about is generating more passive revenue for your self using this kind of affiliate marketing technique. So, Clyde welcome to the show…

Clyde:             Thanks very much

Elizabeth:      So, today I want to first, you know we talk; I was mentioning passive revenue and affiliate marketing and all this stuff. Going back to passive revenue, what is that mean, what do we mean by generating passive revenue for our self?

Clyde:             Well, passive revenue would be having presence on the web, actually didn’t have to go on web to connect on e-mail as well, where people are buying stuff without you being involve in the process.

Elizabeth:      So, the idea is its passive because you’re not actively involve because it’s just happening without you having to be there.

Clyde:             Correct.

Elizabeth:      Right. So, and we… I think a lot of people have that, have a general understanding, you know like I have on my website someone can go to my website and buy an E-Book for me and then they just get it delivered by e-mail. And a lot of has done that by buying stuff off of websites. What is affiliate marketing, so, what is that mean for people?

Clyde:             Well, affiliate marketing is when you find products and services that you really like and you use and believe in and you decide well. I wonder, you need, what I do is when I ever get to site I wonder if they’re interested in affiliate marketing and if they are that’s what they do is they give me a link for my webpage and my e-mail that every time someone clicks on it and buy something then they pay me a commission. And what it does to the company who has given me the link is it’s basically in, you know grown, they’re still change. And so, in very small companies that are probably one or two people up to Apple, Dell, and HP do it as well.

Elizabeth:      Right. Still like I know the first affiliate program I’ve ever participated in was Amazon.com and which is one of the big ones, even though I don’t earn very much money from them. That’s all the story. Because they’re selling books, so, you know you get a tiny little cut of fifteen dollars, its not that great. But, anybody can go, you can go in Amazon. Com and its, it think its called associates is their program.

Clyde:             Correct.

Elizabeth:      And you sign up for it then you can get a little link for any particular book and put that, the link, or that little picture with the link on your website and when someone clicks on it, you get a little percentage of what they buy on Amazon.com that day.

Clyde:             Yes, that is correct. And I feel about Amazon is since they’ve grown from their humble beginnings and they best resell almost anything, not almost, I don’t know they sell cars or they sell pretty major stuff. I had a Bluetooth headset that I really like called Jawbone, this really the fact of everybody loves it. Its the best headset out there. And I went to their site and nothing about affiliates and I thought why don’t I put it in my page through Amazon. And so, you know, it’s about eighty bucks and the new ones is hundred thirty dollars and so, I will get a percent to that. So, I did put Jawbone on my website through Amazon. So, basically any product on Amazon can be used for an affiliate program.

Elizabeth:      Right. And, you know, and the money I have made off Amazon is interesting like it, so, I have a, I write book review that’s on my blog and then I’ll put a link to Amazon if someone likes the book and they think, clicks through and buy it. But, if they go and buy something else that day I can get my percent from that too. So, they click on it and they go buy like a camera. I might get a percent from that. Some side benefits on that too.

Clyde:             Excellent.

Elizabeth:      So, tell us little about the program that you have done, that have worked well for you. How did you pick them and why did you get involve in them?

Clyde:             Well, if the readers, if listeners, sorry bout that… go to itmpartners.com, in the moment. You’ll see a list of all my affiliates in one page. Starting with about three, nine, how about and fifteen. And I really don’t, I don’t put every single company that I’ve ever dealt business with, only comes since I believe in and in my business, you know, when I help people with their computers backing them up, helping people buy computers that I highly recommends\. So, for instance, first one you see is the back up forum on my affiliate page and I’m big, big ton supporter of back up, so, I went to their page, got the affiliate link and now its on that page. And so, as you go down that page, you’ll see more, more, the so, so, Apple Computers, there’s an ipod. Go to my meeting, and go to PC, are very profitable, they pay very high percentage as well, and everybody, you know, seen the entertainment books, and that’s a national, or international radio show. But, nationally, I don’t think its international, but, nationally everybody gets this little coupon book for entertainment. Well, they give you a very good rate on that as well and so, I have that on my site, so people can buy the entertainment books through me and get, and you know, and then I get a percentage.

Elizabeth:      So, I can see that you, once you get this all set up and you have on your page and people can clicks up the link and then you get this percentage that would make you money. But, in the beginning, you have to do all the work to set it up. So, let’s say someone right now maybe they have a regular website or a blog or something like that. And speaking about doing this, where should I get started, you know, how was the steps you have to take to actually get the set up for yourself.

Clyde:             Well, what I would do when you first starting it up as I would see what are, what you think you’re going to be highest profit or highest moors. You know, I couldn’t tell so I just, I’ve been experimenting around and I just see that lets just say for instance you did go to my PC. What you would do is to go there and look for an affiliate link. They either call it affiliate or partners, you click on it and then you apply. There’s this website called cj.com which is called commission junction, highly, highly recommended, cj.com and many, many, many companies go through them. So, Apple does, HP does, Dell does, many of my affiliates go through them. And so, you go there and then you have, you sign up, they approve you, less they’ll approve you right on the spot, some yet have to wait for a couple of days. I’ve never been denied, an affiliate, link in this link. And then what happens is you click on the links and they give you links, so, either you can have pictures like I have or you can get a text link and the cool thing about it is this people are really don’t have a website or web presence, they can actually gets a text link which one just be in a bomb in every e-mail lists then.

Elizabeth:      Alright. So they can just have that link and just send an e-mail to people when they recommend something.

Clyde:             Otherwise… Correct. So, as I said you know, I love go, you know, I love Mac in tears one unit you know, here’s the link to buy an Apple Computer. And then it would just go to Apple’s website and you got… I think three percent of there is.

Elizabeth:      And the idea is that the people, is not paying anymore money, its just Apple is a little bit last in the end, you get some of it.

Clyde:             Exactly.

Elizabeth:      You have to feel guilty about it or anything.

Clyde:             No, no, not at all. And in some instances, very rare, you can actually give people deals. Now one thing that you could do also is you can put it on your blog, you can highlight certain products on your blog or on like the right side where static, you can put products there for affiliates. Then website is up to you, you can put them on your homepage, I’ve tried experimenting a bunch of a when, people really don’t click on when in normal homepage, so I’ve moved them into their own page and the one key in all these is you got to keep your links up to date. Often times you’ll get sales. And so, when the sales’ over the link will be gone and it won’t work. So, you definitely you have to review it and probably at least once a week, all your links. Make sure they’re still there.

Elizabeth:      Or have, if have a virtual system or somebody else that should be part of their job.

Clyde:             Most definitely.

Elizabeth:      Right. We got about… let’s see… little less than two minutes for the next break. Now, with you have all, and the world’s got this a little bit after the break, but, you have all these recommendations that are on your website or on your blog or on your e-mails, do you think it’s important to disclose the people that you’re getting a commission based upon your recommendations? Or do you think is not important or important in certain situation.

Clyde:             You know I think in certain situation if you’re doing a competitive comparison between two products and you know, you make a commission on one and not on the other, you should. But otherwise, I don’t see the need personally because I think most people know and certainly if you’re advertising products in your site and then you going get a commission. So, it really depends on whose doing it, I normally don’t. And if I’m writing an easing and it’s in the middle of my easing then I will definitely have to disclose it.

Elizabeth:      Right. And this questionable note, there’s certain professions where you do have to disclose it, like as an attorney or as a financial advisor if I’m giving a recommendation to a client in that capacity which not a spillage on my blog. But, in will you not capacity and then I have to end, disclose it. So, in people’s certain profession keep off do it, but, we’re about where to go our first break, after the break will be other side talking more about affiliate program and creating passive revenue stream for your business on your website. We’ll talk about that after the break.

Elizabeth:      Welcome back everyone, this is Elizabeth Potts Weinstein your host for the Well Spa Radio Show and today in a segment we’ve been talking about, affiliate marketing and generating passive revenue stream, the idea is maybe you have a business, you have is not e-mails, you already have a website or thinking starting one and you want to generate some more money. So, why not generate a little bit of money based upon the things you order, you recommend. So, right before our break, we are talking about whether or not you need to disclose that you’re getting a commission and you know, Clyde and I were both saying that in some situation you may need to for certain reason like if your recommending something or your doing a review or two different things and one of them gives you commission and the other one doesn’t or whatever. Now, I was saying in some profession you do need to disclose it for instance if I’m either if I’m someone’s lawyer and I’m recommending something I do have to disclose it for them if I’m representing them in that capacity. The times you don’t need to but, it is something you have to decide on your own, on a case by case basis. So, you know, Clyde what in the world, you see who do this type of affiliate marketing, what are the mistakes you think people making?

Clyde:             Let’s see…I would say well one of the things I’ve talked about earlier would be not updating your links often enough or as you earlier mentioned Elizabeth, the… using product recommendations when it’s not obvious the partner recommendation. And people are just writing whole reviews on something without disclosing it. I think that’s a big mistake. Because, basically it takes your credibility.

Elizabeth:      Right.

Clyde:             I’ll say those are probably the biggest mistakes…that people would make. Actually there’s a third one. Our third one would be, you really need to check your reports on your affiliate incomes. It turned out one of my products; my link should be expired but still worked. So, for a period of four months, it’s quite a bit of money, people were using the link and so I have to go back and figure out I was able to do what you see you can’t. But, I was able to figure out of all the people who had used the products and I sent it. Then sent it and confirmed it. It’s about three to four dollars that would have lost.

Elizabeth:      Wow…But sometimes they won’t let you go do that.

Clyde:             No.

Elizabeth:      Coz you can’t, I mean you still can’t even recreate the information, but….

Clyde:             You got to check on cashier. If you’re getting certain stream on-line… and it also drops to zero and help find out what’s wrong. But you going to…her point.

  Elizabeth:    Right. But sometimes they calculated differently too. I know Amazon.com  a couple years ago changed the calculation for how differently they did their affiliate programs and you can ops for different thing. So, you have to go back and look at it and see what, which program should I be in, and what will I make sense. Another one that my dad actually does, my dad is an expert in its called Patroliana. What was this is crack the booze surrounding gas station with this old gas pump, you know and all that stuff and he has a website and actually his website was open February of 1996. So, you could imagine he cornered that market. So, he makes huge amount of money every month out of e-bay affiliate. So, he has, because of, in a collectible so, you know, I wonder his listening he’ll ask websites about collectible than things that can sold on e-bay. You can put little, like little advertisement looking thing, so, go back to the auction that’s been going around on e-bay you get a commission based upon that but once e-bay get paid with which big ticket item can be a lot of money.

Clyde:             Yes, most definitely.

Elizabeth:      He makes thousands of dollars every month…that’s always in thousand and it was interesting it used to be calculated just front. He didn’t make as much money then all of a sudden he was giving me big check. He’s like great…pretty money you know, based upon traffic he has after twelve years. So, you know, someone right now has a blog, when looking for affiliate program should they start looking for the one that pay the most money or should they look for products and services they already used.

Clyde:             You know, that’s going to really depend on the individual, if someone in it to make money to get, you know, it’s a world known products and it actually works and I would say they should go for the highest profit margin they can get. If it is an adjunct to the business this is the supplementary income source, I want stuff that I’ve tested, tried and you know, offer and you know help on as well. So, that’s the way I’ve done it. But you can go either way.

Elizabeth:      And what that is people want to keep in mind to is they will look at your target market like the people who come to your website if you have a website and what stuff do they need. So, they maybe some affiliate program that pay a lot of money, but, the people come to your website are don’t buy that stuff. So, and what so did they already buying that they can just buy through you and it wouldn’t make any difference to them.

Clyde:             Right. That’s great.

Elizabeth:      I wonder if I found two for me and I just want people. You can have programs and I know, I think you were talking about go to my pc or go to meaning and things like that are like programs that people pay either an annual or monthly subscription theme. And if you’re an affiliate for that some of those programs they pay you every single month. So, what someone signs up you get a cut of that every month, theoretically, forever. Which is much better than just getting paid once? Will you target that?

Clyde:             Definitely true…pretty cool.

Elizabeth:      So, lets… I’m looking at the other stuffs you sent me. Oh and one last thing I didn’t want to cover, if you catch on a little bit, if there’s someone listening who doesn’t have a website, or blog or merely doesn’t even have a business, that there’s still working in corporate America what have you… can they do this and how is the easiest way for them to get started?

Clyde:             Well, the mechanism starting will be the same. What I’ve said before, either high profit or stuff that you want support and then you get the affiliate links you probably go on with just text links and instead of just posting those on the bottom of e-mail whatever it is, just go to the website, call them. S-N-U-R-L dot com, snurl or tiny, T-I-N-Y-U-R-L dot com and these will shorten up the links. It’s very obvious that it make sense now that when you go to the website, you’ll see it. You want the link to be somewhat small, these links can be huge, and it will take two lines of code just for the link. And once you put that link, and then I will experiment. I’ll put it on some e-mails for you know, a week, a month, and then see if you can get any revenue and if not then switch them out and try another one.

Elizabeth:      Right, right. This goes back to the man I talked about in the show a lot which is that comes down to testing. That we can make whatever recommendation we have made it work for us but it may not work you and that pick your target market on your particular blog or the way you do your e-mails. It is so many factors that you can have a play with it for awhile just to see what works… you know, put on different parts of the website and use it in different ways…

Clyde:             Definitely.

Elizabeth:      So, before we go to the next break I want to give you sometime to talk a little bit about your main business and what you do with the ITM Computing.

Clyde:             So, with the ITM Computing and in business running for about twelve years now and primarily what we do is we as a little bit set release technology stress. We come into your home or small business and usually you called in a panic and your hard drive crashed and you think you have a virus or your internet no longer works and we help you to make it go smoother. We also, in addition to that, that’s sort of like a daily service. We also do web design and web hosting. Right… Excellent service in that way for small businesses. We provide excellent design and very creative design it’s like an out of the box thinking on that.

Elizabeth:      You just were where people, we’re both here in California, northern California, do you just have client to our local or do you offer people another location?

Clyde:             Everybody’s here in California, but we do quite a bit a remote support out say here in California even we do fifty percent our services remote or we log on to your computer form here, so, we don’t actually need to be there. So, we have clients all over the United States. And we help them with their computer needs.

Elizabeth:      So, if someone’s interested in learning more about your business, where should they go?

Clyde:             Well, for the computer design, I’m mean sorry, for the computer repair and wireless support and all that you could go to ITM as In The Moment Computing dot com and then an easy link to get to the web design is to go to the itmdesign.com and then for affiliate page if you want to look at that its itmpartners.com.

Elizabeth:      It is a great… everyone should interest in this should go to itmpartners.com to see the example of how he laid it out because it is just look likes a resource page, really, you know its not super salve, its just saying here the recommended  resources that you should use. So, the great way to do it in a way that seem still used professional and part of the same image and part of the same website, I think. So, one last thing I want to talk about before we go to this next break is… you know there’s a lot of people have heard about over and its been around for long time, we had network marketing and multi-level marketing going all the way, you know, going back to… you all the people who had Avon and Tupperware and all this stuff. How is network marketing is the same thing as affiliate program is this very different or there are things that overlap?

Clyde:             I would say it’s quite, quite different because the affiliate income I think it’s more like direct sales, it’s like what you sell, you get a commission on it, it’s never any incentive. Well, some of you sell more but, most of them are not structured that the more you sell, the more money you get.

 Elizabeth:     Okay.

Clyde:             So, network marketing which is one of my other businesses which we’ll talk about same I’m sure. That and that the more you sell and the more people who help you sell, you get a higher percentage and your income goes up exponentially. So, that’s huge, huge difference.

Elizabeth:      But, yeah, and the idea though in a radio show program, is just you’re selling or whatever. But, in most network marketing thing, you’re making money, may have direct sales, too, but you also making money because you’re recruiting other people to be under your… staff.

Clyde:             Correct, and with the recruiting part of this, I don’t consider that passive income to that is actually you have to work for them. The passive income comes in commissions you going to get from other people using the products. So, now we sort of like an affiliate partner. But, you know that the more people you ring in, the more passive commissions you can get.

Elizabeth:      Okay, great. Okay so lets get in to the next segment of the show and so, every week its about I answer a question from a listener or from a reader of one of my blogs are easy nor member of the facebook group for the show. This week I’m answering a question about affiliate marketing to kind a keep it in the same topic today. So, lot of you I know have your own business already. You might sell products, you might sell services and you’re actually thinking about involve in this affiliate program from the other side. You know, so, you sell your product; your services love to have more people selling for you and be able to leverage your income that way. So, when is the good time to set up an affiliate program, how do you set one up about it being just your nightmare, you know, you are having to give away commission to these people on some percentage and what, how you pick that commission, what is the good idea. So, we talk a little about on the show about an affiliate program and I’m going to go back just explain it super fast again in case anyone just joined in after the break. The idea of an affiliate program is that there’s some other person, so, and I’m actually answering this question in the perspective of the business owner. You have another person who doesn’t work for you, is not employed by you who is selling your product or service to other people and then as such you get paid the full amount, and then you give them some sort of a commission. It could be one percent or it could be fifty percent. You guys agree in what percentages and it depends upon the products or the service and what’s appropriate. The idea is by setting up an affiliate program you’re recruiting a virtual sales team to sell your products or services for you. Which significantly reduce your marketing cost, your promotion cost, and willl increase your reach. So, what are premise of the demises, when it is a good idea and how do you actually going to do this in the easy way. As I said this is a great way to have a virtual sales team for you. If you’re small business owner and still want to earn it, you may not have the cash to hire employees, especially if you’re in the very beginning. You may also not yet have a big list, you know, especially like think of it as an internet business. You’ve an internet business; you don’t have a lot of people coming to your website yet. You don’t have a lot of people on your e-mail lists. Where do you start with? The best way to get started actually is by borrowing other people’s list. So, you can look to people who already have e-mail list, who already have websites, who are traffic and those people coming on those sites who get those e-mails are the kind of people who want to buy your product or service you’ve already created. And of course they that are the persons should be compensated for the fact that you’re borrowing their people so as I’ve said should give them a cut of the money. This is the great way to get your business ramped up fast and this is one of things of I do and one of the most successful ways I’ve grown my business is by looking for the people who have great list, who have a great gathering of clients and customers who love them. And then they can promote my stuff I’ve already created. I don’t have to do the marketing promotions there or do any marketing promotions and yes of course they have to get a cut, they should be compensated for the marketing and promotion that they’re doing at however I’m the expert teaching the singer, providing the product or providing the service so I get to keep most of the money. So, another one that great benefit is that someone else is promoting your stuff for you and they’re not technically affiliated with you. Then they’re not your employee. This is enhanced testimonial an inherent endorsement that they’re giving of you. It actually makes it easier for people to buy your stuff because of the other person is recommending it not you. So, that person is one thing that you’re so great and they should buy your stuff. So it is a great way to make it easier to sell your stuff to brand new people coz you’re not selling it cold. And of course you’re not having to spend the money on the marketing of the promotion on the front end you only have to pay for it typically on the back ends. So, now that sometimes you may want to do some affiliates program where you pay for each lead. So, you pay for each person who signs up for your list or pay for each person who comes to your website. Why not the best one to set up is where you only pay is the sale curse. It’s a great way to only have to pay money when you close the sale. That’s the way I didn’t have to pay the front end. Now but what are the cons? So, everyone doesn’t do this, so, why not what are the problems inside affiliate program. Of course as soon as you start bringing another people you and increase the administrative cost of running your business. Coz it s got all these other human beings out there floundering around doing stuff. You got to control them. You got to manage them. Are there ways to do that? There are ways to keep it manageable. But it is something that has to be done either by you or member of your staff in house. Or your virtual assistant or whoever you have working for you. Coz your affiliates, you want to makes sure they’re staying staff if its true, they’re not going spamming people because they’re representing you. You also are going to have to deal with paying them on time, what a staff gets return, they’re just go things that’s need to be done. Are you sure that you’re paying them a part of the money. So if your selling something that cost ten dollars and you got to pay your affiliates three bucks, that cuts down out of your profit. Now of course, you don’t have to do the marketing and promotions so, it makes sense that you going to pay part of that. You’re saving cost but you’re also paying that out. So, you really have to figure out what, how much savings you’ll get by not having to do the marketing and promotions to figure out how much of percentage you should give to the affiliates. So, going back to how you actually set it up. Now, what I’ve done for my affiliate program and a lot of these successful people I know who are small business owners, don’t you this big size like kind of commission junction and the other big affiliate program because some of them have lot of rules that just don’t make sense for small business owners and some of them have a lot of a up front costs. And I mean thousands and thousands of dollars to set it up. All of them but some of them do. Some or lot of small people we do it in our shopping cart. So, what I use is one shopping cart for my shopping cart that when people buy stuff through my website or even when they buy services from me directly, they pay me through a shopping cart that automatically picks the money and the credit card number automatically sends them the e-book or whatever they ordered. Well, in that program it actually you can set up an affiliate program. You pay an extra money for your… like the pro-version or whatever they call it of the shopping cart then you can do the affiliate program that might be there. The great way then is you don’t keep track of stuff, the shopping cart tells you how many sales remain, how much the checklist be for the affiliate this month and you can even upload the stuff you want your affiliates said. Coz you want to make sure your affiliates running amok, saying all kinds of wacky things e-mails and websites like giving them the tool they need. They can have great graphics and know one language they want to use to promote your stuff. You can upload that to a portion of your shopping cart website. The affiliates can log in and they are in see what you want to use. You can give them all the tools right there. Again that’s one shopping cart dot com is what I use to pre-assuming an affiliate program without needing to know anything. Now, there are other sites too especially for e-books, stores for certain products and services but if you’re selling, if you’re doing selling services or selling products one shopping cart then is one of the great solution. Alright, so, let’s get into classic segment of the show which is about the entrepreneurs success tip for the week and this week’s tip is about taking time off. So, now I’m going to tell you the biggest secret of today’s show and the big secret of today’s show is I’m actually not here right now. Right now I’m on vacation and through the magic of radio the show has been pre-recorded so, I can go vacation this week. What I’m telling you entrepreneurs is that you need to figure out ways to be able to take time off still have your business running while you’re gone. Because you need to take time off to be a good business owner. And why is that? You know, I mean right now in my business as you know listening to this right now and I’m in the middle of launching my new book and its either I went to the publisher or went to the printers or didn’t go to the printers which I don’t know yet coz I’m talking to you from the past. I have my casual blue chimp in the box the either one of the cell phone that has didn’t go to the film in the house but, I’m going to need to look at it before it can be shipped out. I got all kinds of other things going on at the same time. And if I didn’t schedule time off, if I didn’t force my self to take vacation, it would never happen. So, why is it important you know shouldn’t we just work our business all the time and so, in that way we can achieve our results faster. And now, the thing is you need, you need to get more perspective on your business, you need to step out of your business so you can have better ideas how things work. Every time I go out of town I take time off. I come back with fresh ideas, things I’m going to drop, things I’m going to change because I’m not just mired in daily manuesha things. Now something get invigorated sometimes even though you know, you may love your business not passionate with what I do it’s really easy to just be sick of it. You know, and tired and overwhelmed and by taking some time off, you come back impassioned about your business all over again. You also want to spend time with your family, your friends and even just with your self. Just spend mentally if you’re not enjoying your life then what is the point? Okay, of having amazing business and making all this money and helping all these other people if you’re not enjoying any of it. So, how did you actually do that? Part of taking time off is setting out passive revenue stream, is pr-recording things, studying up you know, automation, is having a virtual system, is having stuffs on the website where people can buy things three out of town. Its great when I come back from a vacation or business trip and I made money while I was gone and business was able to occur well while I was gone its not just me being there. But another part of it is has to actually just schedule the trip or the vacation or time off that you’re just going to stay at home and do nothing on your calendar and black it out. You need to do it ahead of time. Like this particular vacation that we are on right now, I scheduled and I think back and December, January I scheduled this trip. I didn’t know what was going to be all the time, I didn’t know if my husband will be able to go, but you know what? When on the calendar and I put down the non refundable deposits you own by the way, you want it to be nonrefundable coz otherwise you never going to do it. If you just thought that everything is refundable and get traveling insurance, you probably won’t get one. It’s kind of an insane backward financial advice but, if you get your self an out, sometimes you’ll take the out or maybe you’ll always take the out. So, maybe you just make it be a non refundable thing. You schedule the time in your calendar. Then in a little bit right now your so in the middle of things and you know, you have a day job, you have your business on side, your kids, your family all the stuff and then just you cant see it being be possible. It maybe you needed to start small. Doing something as simple as three hours or your gone go to a spa or three hours where you going to go sit on the beach and buy yourself and do nothing. It maybe need that you just start with half a day of scheduling the time off. But, eve something as small as half a day is going to give you tons of benefits in perspective and just over all life enjoyment. And then hopefully, sure you know how to work out to scheduling off week. You know, as Alexandria Brown who we going to have on next week’s show, she scheduled that, I don’t know how many weeks she schedule that as her vacation time and buys you know, packages were and non refundable tickets and she’s gone to those times. Yes she has to turn down speaking engagement, she has to turn down things where she could made a bunch of money but, she has over all better quality of life and makes more money in her business of rock. Sometimes its, once you, you know, hard where you coming from perspective as you have a business where you don’t have any passive revenue. You don’t make any money. You’re gone? So, that’s maybe a first step you have to start for your self. Once you have those things rolling, being able to take time off and get perspective and enjoy life and comeback to your business is going to help you make more money and be a better business owner. Not except my little sorry I tried one, taking time off for your self.
